Summary:
Serve as a coordinator for the southeastern region for the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education (ODCTE) and administrative entities involved with the delivery of career and technology education programs and services. Assist in convening relevant partner groups for the purpose of supporting the system's strategic purposes and the goals set forth by the State Director/State Board of Career and Technology Education.
Education and Experience:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field, or a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling.
• Five years of successful experience in career and technology education and/or K-12 education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Serve as liaison to technology centers, comprehensive schools, conducting visits and providing frequent communication to those partners, and collaborate with appropriate internal and external entities to explore partnership opportunities that help support the CTE system within your assigned region.
• Coordinate training, resources, and enhancements for the web-based career development system for the state of Oklahoma.
• Collaborate with the career development team to develop and execute strategies to expand the implementation and usage of programs focused on career awareness and work-based learning.
• Identify system needs and coordinate initiatives that facilitate the sharing of best practices, recognize emerging trends, and provide technical assistance to schools and stakeholders.
• Promote Professional learning opportunities to technology centers and comprehensive schools regarding Career and Technology Education.
• Attend professional development activities, workshops, and in-service opportunities that support career and technology education programs and services.
• Report issues and concerns directly to the appropriate ODCTE staff member to enhance the growth, development, and quality of career and technology education programs and services.
• Serve as a member of special teams, task forces, committees, and professional organizations as assigned by the State Director of Career and Technology Education.
• Plan and coordinate travel arrangements to maximize impact and effectiveness
• Conduct visits and frequent communication to comprehensive schools and technology centers within the assigned region.
Salary and Benefits:
$56,985.95 - $63,421.34
• The state provides a benefit allowance to help you pay for insurance premiums which include health, dental, life and disability insurance.
• The amount of your allowance, $9,051.60-$21,942.72, is determined based upon the dependents you choose to include in health coverage.

Management Responsibility:
No management responsibility.
Communication Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, financial reports, and legal documents as necessary. Proficiency in writing reports and formulating professional business correspondence and processes. Ability to effectively present information and respond to 10 questions from groups of supervisors, customers, and the public. The capacity to communicate technical concepts and thoughts to management.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply moderately complex mathematical equations as applicable. (For example: calculating discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and volume, and applying concepts of basic algebra and geometry.)
Reasoning Skills:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work Environment:
Extensive travel and a valid driver's license are required.
The position will be officed in a technology center in the southeast regional area, or in Stillwater, OK.
