Description

Okeene Public Schools is seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to serve as a Pre-K Teacher beginning with the 2026–2027 school year and beyond. The Pre-K Teacher will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for early childhood students.

Responsibilities include planning and implementing engaging lessons aligned to Oklahoma Academic Standards for Early Childhood, supporting the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young learners, and fostering a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration. The teacher will assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development.

The Pre-K Teacher will collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to ensure all students’ needs are met, including those requiring interventions or additional services. The position also requires maintaining compliance with all district policies and Oklahoma State Department of Education early childhood guidelines.

Okeene Public Schools serves approximately 340 students in grades Pre-K – 12.

Required Qualifications Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate
Early Childhood Certification (Pre-K/Primary)
Preferred Qualifications Experience in early childhood education preferred but not required
