Pocola Public Schools is seeking a highly effective, student-focused Science Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about science education, committed to student growth, and skilled in delivering engaging, inquiry-based instruction aligned to the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Science.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver rigorous, standards-based science instruction (e.g., life, physical, earth/space sciences as assigned)
Design and implement hands-on, inquiry-driven lessons and labs that promote critical thinking and problem-solving
Utilize data to assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging laboratory/classroom environment
Integrate technology and real-world applications to enhance student learning
Foster a positive classroom culture that supports curiosity and academic success
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration
Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate records and comply with all district and state requirements
Qualifications

Valid Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in Science (appropriate subject area/grade level)
Strong content knowledge in science and effective instructional practices
Demonstrated ability to improve student achievement
Effective classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to collaboration and professional growth
